It was painful when Arsenal started to implode. The Birmingham City draw was the game of the season, bar none. Eduardo had his leg broken, our own 'The Red Scare' claimed that the tackle that broke his leg was not as bad as an attempted tackle by Eduardo a week before; Clichy lost the plot and managed to concede a penalty; Gallas completely lost the run of himself, throwing an unseemly tantrum, making a mockery of Arsene Wenger's decison to make him captain; Arsene lost the run of himself, claiming that he could discern a player's intent to cause harm; and Arsenal went on a point-dropping-run commensurate with their poor performance.

It's a bit hard to swallow considering the manner in which we surrendered the title. I am looking forward to the new signings and to next season. I think we are finally sufficiently mature now. I believe the whole youth escuse will not fly next season. I'm feeling pretty good about next season.
There is only one disappointment this season: not winning any silverware. But this team has arrived. If they can play the same kind of football next season, they can challenge for honor on all fronts.
The team definitely needs the lift of some new signings. Van Persie and Rosicky would probably be great Arsenal players if they could stay fit, but since they're almost always injured, and since Arsenal has lost a starter in Flamini, they need some new players.
Also, it'd be nice if Denilson could break through to the first team.
How do you see replacement for Flamini? It looks like AW is promoting from within. Also Hleb is looking like he is gone and AW knew it a few weeks back.
I've been hearing a few rumours about possible replacements. So far I am yet to be impressed by any. Before the start of the season, many of us did not care whether Flamini left or stayed. I think given the chance, Denilson, Diaby of Song could become that new hard-man.
Hleb will be difficult to replace because of his skill. But because he does so little by way of goals, perhaps it will not be all that hard.
Eboue should go back to the right back position and fight it out with Sagna (who should have the upper-hand at the moment). He isn't doing enough on the wing.
Has anyone heard the Ben Arfa rumours?
I have seen the Ben Arfa rumors. When I've watched him play I've liked him, but he doesn't always make the first 11 at Lyon.
Hleb would be a big loss. He's a great player.
I'd like to see Cesc and Denilson in central midfield, but I gather that Denilson might not be developing quickly enough for that to happen.
I don't think Diaby had a very good season. I wanted him to be the French Rivaldo, but he's not there yet.
I think Song is a great player for the squad. I'd keep with him in central defense ahead of Senderos, and he could backup Denilson in midfield.
Ben Arfa would be good for the squad because Arsenal really need wide midfielers. I wonder if Arsenal, instead of Bayern, could have brought in Ribery? I'd like to see Arsene put more emphasis on putting together a side that can win decisively, and less emphasis on trying to work wonders with a small budget. Still, if Arsenal are in the ascendancy as Man United unravel, it will have been worth the wait.
With his hands tied for the transfer budget, it wud be better if Hleb stayed back...a couple of signigns shud be good enough according to me...we were not that behind when it came to the league and a little luck would have been enuf to see us through to the semis of CL. I am keeping faith in Wenger to deliver a trophy next season
