Ha! At least get him on loan until Eduardo's back up and running!

That was such a sneaky play.

What players do you think AW will get before the next season start?

It looks to me like he has finished all his buying with Ramsey and Nasri. I think he is casting his lots with the Arsenal youths and promoting from within. In the BBC interview last week he was pretty clear about where his money is going: "I am using my cheque book to keep my team together." So all big contributors from last season will get good wage raise but no big -name signing for next season.

I'm still pulling for Denilson to be a big player, so I was disappointed when the squad numbers came out that his #15 wasn't upgraded to the unclaimed #8.

Also, Alex Song might be ready to play more.

I'd like another winger, someone to keep Eboue away from the first team, although if Rosicky could stay healthy, the side could be ok.

If the players could stay healthy Arsenal would be fine:

Adebayor
Rosicky Hleb Walcott
Denilson Cesc
Clichy Gallas Toure Sagna
Almunia

That doesn't even include Van Persie. The potential pitfalls we've already seen: Rosciky and Van Persie almost-always out injured, Walcott and Denilson not deemed good enough to start, Hleb not scoring the goals his play suggests he could, Gallas cracking under pressure and losing his mind, Almunia occasionally losing the plot, Hleb and Adebayor both considering playing for different teams.

Given all of those potential pitfalls, I'd like to see about 6 new world-class players brought in.

Drogba from Chelsea;
Robben and Sneijder from Real Madrid;
Anderson and Ferdinand from Manchester United; and
Messi from Barcelona.

Hmmm... You know AW is a cheapska... I mean thrifty guy, right? I don't think he'll go for any of those big names.

Nasri, if the deal ever goes through, I think will be the winger that might satisfy you? along with quite a few supporters.

Denilson didn't make as much progress as many hoped for last term but he could still get his chance. I do like the way he plays whenever he is in the middle along with Cesc.

The situation with Adebayor can create some fluidity in Arsenal's transfer activities. If he goes, I believe we must get someone who can lead the line.

I'm worried about Nasri. I'm not convinced that he'll have a big impact. His favored position is the same as Hleb and Rosicky. Arsene was once considered really good at adapting players to new positions - that was before the Eboue at right midfield debacle. I don't know how well Nasri would fit in. I think he'd play on the wing, but I don't know if he's very quick.

If Nasri comes in, then we could take Sneijder off the list, and just bring in the other 5 (I fully realize Arsene wouldn't even make an approach for any of those players. For him, being thrifty is a goal just as important as winning).

Hi there,

Sorry I couldn't find an e-mail for you so I had to choose this option. Would it be possible to add a link under Football Sites to http://fourfourtwo.com? They have a wide range of news from all around the world.

I can offer you a link addition from a Manchester United blog if required?

Many thanks,

Ian

Watching Spain, I was very impressed by David Silva on the wing but I'm not sure about how guys who have played in Spain will fit in ever since Reyes. Reyes was so good but was such a disappointment.

Ian - I've added the 442 link in the sidebar, but I can't let the opportunity pass without urging you to give the 433 formation another look. Say it softly and it's almost like praying:

"Three Up Front!"

Leave the link for the United site and we'll check it out.
