Manchester United won the Premier League and Champions League last season, and now manager Sir Alex Ferguson has said that he's placed a "bid for one player who would enhance us a great deal." Anyone who saw Berbatov's 4 goals in a game against Reading last season could be forgiven for assuming Sir Alex must be talking about Berbatov.
Here is video of Berbatov's 4 goals in the Reading game:
The other first-choice striker for Spurs, Robbie Keane, is allegedly a Liverpool target, and the prospect of losing both players, and the tactics employed by Man United and Liverpool, have Spurs in an uproar.

Much obliged, 433--although I sense a bit of a negative slant to your posting. I'm not surprised by Berbatov. Everybody wants to play for the Yankees, and you can't expect him to be as familiar with the grand tradition of spurs as he is with Man U. Keano, on the other hand, is a bit perplexing. He is a Spurs hero, and I think Liverpool was a bit of a one-hit-wonder. I wouldn't be surprised if he regrets that decision in the near future. I like Levy's willingness to stand up to the big boys and stste that Tottenham isn't going to let players go for free. Now if we could just find a striker or two. Know any good ones who are available?
Negative slant? Not at all. That piece was right down the middle in keeping the site policy of objectivity.
It would be a surprise, a nice surprise, if Sir Alex doesn't get his man.
Who needs the Scimitar or Beano when you can drive a Bentley to victory. I will take your word on the cock-slamming.
