Niklas Bendtner Introduced to His Feet Last Night

Every time young Nick got the ball, he had to look down towards his new feet and told them what he wanted them to do. Sometimes he succeeded but most times they just did what they damned well pleased. Nick was very proud that by the end of the match, they started to listen to him and his right foot actually scored a goal after Nick told it to do just that.

But hey, who's complaining after you won 4-0? Even though the opposition is totally rubbish, who are we to criticize the team for the performance that they put up last night?

Cesc once again demonstrated that he IS the team. When he is on the pitch, the whole team revolves around him and everything clicks. When he is not on the pitch, the team is just made up of eleven headless chickens. This Twente game is a good warm-up for Cesc to come back to the flow of things. Hopefully he'll be even sharper against Newcastle.

Young Theo Walcott never stopped working and running and was justly rewarded with a pretty goal that was compared by some to one who used to wear his shirt number. I hope he can rebuild his confidence after this game.

It remains to be seen on Saturday whether this game has erased the ghost of the loss to Fulham last weekend. It still looks to me that the players are not yet completely comfortable with one another on the pitch or is it just that other EPL teams have found out that pressing in midfield is the way to beat Arsenal.

Come on you REDS!

GH - I wasn't able to see the whole game. I take it that Bendtner struggled, but in the highlights I found, it looked like he was involved in some of the goals.

If this is a breakthrough season for him, I think he could be good for 20 goals - 10 in the league.
