Here's the Match Report from Arsenal.com.
There's a lot of discussion about who he plays like. He reminds me a bit of Sean Wright-Phillips: short, fantastic close-control, and ability to score. I've seen comparisons to Joe Cole. Arsene Wenger suggested Liam Brady. I've also seen comparisons to Lionel Messi, but I might detect a note of hyperbole in that one.
A 3-0 loss to Hull on the weekend would ruin all the fun.

2 deflections:
It's a shame a lot of people didn't get to see the Carling Cup game. I would have liked to see how that young team play together.
Jack Wilshere reminds me a lot of Joe Cole - not a whole lot of pace but full of confidence about his skills, ball control, vision, creativity. He can make things happen.
By the way, Aaron Ramsey, I think, has similar attributes; very composed on the ball and great vision to see potential plays ahead of time.
Even I, a neutral observer of the Arsenal, was impressed with the YouTube highlights and accounts I read of the Young Gunners. I saw the interview where Wenger called this his best-ever Carling Cup side. I might have to agree. Nice to see exciting young talent (even the ridiculously overhyped Wilshere) playing so well together.
In other news, Spurs finally scored their first victory against an EPL squad on Wednesday--if you want to call Toon an EPL squad--albeit in League Cup action. Maybe we can translate that into an away victory at downward-spiraling Pompey on Sunday and finally stop propping up the table.
