haha... i admire your wishful thinking. unforunately, it's just not in the cards. i think arsenal will drop to 3rd by the end of the campaign. there is something fundamentally wrong with the mindset of the club. gallas has more than a few screws loose and is clearly a bad influence on the psyche of the rest of the team. i see them losing to united and chelsea and scraping out a draw with liverpool in the EPL fixture, but being knocked out of CL.

I am looing forward to the games coming up. Gunners next 5 games against top 4 opposition. Should be interesting. Still convinced Arsenal will win the EPL if Santos you were asking.

Eboue is hopeless. I think he goes down whenever he starts to lose control of the ball and if the situation is embarrassing enough, he will feign injury.

You're right on the Boro goal. Gallas was in perfect position to intercept the ball or at least poke it away and he chose instead to just follow Aliadier.

Impressively spot on for having only seen one half. Eboue did have a strange game: he was going on and on about how he was injured, and it looked like he was actually injured, and he went down in the box, and it actually looked like a penalty. It was one of his better games, but Arsenal look so jaded. The lack of goals is a misery.

1) The referee was really bad

2) Eboue played the best football so far this year even though he was a little lazy going back on defense. He played like a proper winger and presented threat. Only a little theatrics and he was unlucky - or should I say his reputation deserved - to be denied a penalty

3) Van Persie needs more matches to be re-integrated into the team

4) Hleb looked tired and lacked sharpness. RvP kept trying to pass to him for give and go but he was never there. Maybe he wasn;t happy playing on the left?

5) Overall, the team lacked a little creativity in the final third. Granted, 'Boro was playing with 11 men in their own half so there wasn't any space but a good team should still be able to make something happen.

Is it fatigue - mental and physical? I saw that everyone seemed to have given a lot of effort and played pretty hard but that was a lot of running and passing without much result.
